Yeah, ROMs have been slowing down to a trickle, but over Thanksgiving I should have a bit of time to work on them. Its not that I haven’t been working on them, its just that some of the things I’ve been working on have lead to dead ends…

I have however, finished nueTTY-Console, which is a mtty replacement that works well in Vista – I haven’t tested it in XP. It does a number of things better than mtty – for example, now you don’t have to disable USB connections manually.

216 is up, some minor issues in it,
mainly you’ll have to remap the keys after flashing -

so as you can guess, one of the new features is the Qwerty function buttons (TXT, msg, comm manager, Internet) are now mappable, as well as long-press power button (mapping it to Start Menu or Comm Manager is handy)

Hello, some people are having issues with the Touch Pro 206 ROM. If you have the kitchen, you can fix it by adding this line to the selections.txt

ModuleDir=Kitchens\nueROM\no2chem_ALL_Shared

the next version should have this problem resolved.

The kitchen is up for nueROM-S Diamond/Touch Pro and nueROM-M Titan 206. Due to bandwidth issues, it is currently only available in donator CP. Enjoy.

Ok, nueROM-M 201 is up but there might be things that broke during the transition to the new base (Raphael/Diamond/Titan are now unified, apart from the VGA only packages). nueROM-S for Titan will come when I have time to get the opal packages. And I’m in the process of fixing nueROM-S for the Diamond/Raphael up, including a reversion to the stock Manila theme.

The key changes to the Titan build are:
-updated nueKernel to 3.01 (build 109)
-updated nueCore, device _should_ no longer hard reset during mode changes (but no guarantee)
-updated XIP/SYS to 5.2.20931, should fix various issues with text messages, includes new IE mobile.
-XIP compacted

I guess Microsoft finally realized it was time to update that crappy browser they called IE mobile, and now it plays flash/AJAX just fine, although as you can tell, it is pretty useless on this QVGA device. Although, the fact that it IS running on a QVGA device should clue you in on an update for something…. soon.

Okay, nueROM-S Touch Diamond build 188 is now available as well, with the same enhancements as the Touch Pro version.
